JambiyaMiddle East, Arabia, 2nd half of 19th Century

Slightly curved, double edged blade of flattened section, with, silver inlaid ornaments to the forte; iron grip, also inlaid with silver ornaments with an elaborate pattern of stylized flowers, volutes and a “waffled” section to the middle; original, iron scabbard, en-suite decorated with silver inlays; the mouth, fitted with two round suspension rings.
An interesting piece, in untouched, uncleaned condition, still retaining its patina of time; very fine condition.
