Order of the Holy Sepulchre

Grand Cross Breast Star, 80 mm., Silver, chiseled rays in the style of Portuguese stars, large centre in Gold with red enameled “T” cross enriched by chiseled border, flanked by further “T” crossed also red enameled, concave, polished reverse, fitted with pin, and the maker’s cartouche of Castells, Barcelona. A most probably unique piece, made expressely by order of a Portuguese dignitary from the 2nd half of 19th Century, in the best Spanish jeweler’s quality, excellent condition.
