Cruz de Distincion de la Fidelidad

Neck Badge, 73x45 m., GOLD, first period “March 1820 till June 1822”. Composed of fluted, golden beams, flanked by green enameled laurel wreath, the centre with a cross made of four golden flames with a green enameled palm wreath below, tied by white enameled riband, bearing the motto “EL REY A’ LA FIDELIDAD”. In black lettering, the reverse, similar to the obverse, but bearing the coat-of-arms of Spain to the centre and a further inscription around, hinged, upper, green enameled laurel wreath and grooved ribbon ring and original large ribbon.
A very rare and superb decoration of the early type from 1823; excellent condition. I
