The Order of Saint Anna

1st Class Breast Star of the Order, 85 mm, with polished Silver rays, Gold centre medallion bearing red enameled cross on pebbled ground within red-gold beaded border, red enameled outer circlet bearing separately-made motto in chiseled silver lettering and the Imperial Crown with two angels tenants, the whole, within red-gold, beaded outer border, smooth polished reverse bearing the maker’s cartouche of Kretly, Paris and fitted with vertical, round pin and two side-hooks. A magnificent piece in the finest French manufacture from ca 1870, excellent condition and extremely rare. I RR!
