Order of the Sun and the Lion

1st Class Star of the Order, Civil Class. Breast Star, 83 mm., Silver, French hallmarked "eagle's head", maker's mark "Kretly - Paris", with chiseled and pierced rays, green enameled intermediate rays, centre medallion with a very fine enameled miniature, representing the couching lion and a rising sun.
An extremely rare star of best French manufacture, dating to the second half of 19th Century, in prefect condition. I RR!
