Breast Badge, 57x37 mm, gilt Silver; white bordered, blue enameled cross within green enameled laurel wreath, minor restorations; obverse centre medallion in gold, with chiseled border, white enameled field with the Order’s cross; similar, reverse centre medallion, but made of chiseled gold, with the enameled Order’s cross; hinged upper crown, round suspension ring and original, red ribbon ; together, the original award letter from October 13th, 1893, signed by the King of Portugal, to Eugène Lechartier, accompanied by the official, French translation.A rare and beautifully made piece , extremely fine condition; interesting for the accompanying papers.
