Grand Cross Badge, special division with “jewels”: bust of Simon Bolivar in gold on white enameled base and a red enameled field above, with golden inscription “REPUBLICA DEL PERU” and below, a further red enameled field with golden inscription “AYACUCHO 1824”; the sides, with golden laurel branches on white enamel, sided by polished gold sectors; the upper part, with beams set with brilliants, sided by golden flags and standards, set with brilliants and rubies; polished reverse with pin; in the original, large lacquer case of issue, with blue velvet, fitted inner compartment. An exceptionally rare piece, of the type awarded to heads of state and highest military personalities; excellent condition.
