Imperial Order of the Southern Cross

Grand Cross Star. Breast Star, 60 mm., Silver, with diamond-cut chiseled and pierced 5-armed cross flanked by rays of similar manufacture, centre medallion in gold with sky-blue enameled centre bearing a cross composed by white-enameled, 5-pointed stars, within night-blue enameled outer circlet bearing the inscription “BENEMERENTIUM PRÆMIUM” and an Imperial crown in gold, mounted to the upper arm, gilt reverse, fitted with vertical pin.
A piece of extraordinarily fine manufacture, surely made on behalf of a high-ranking dignitary, excellent condition. I RR!
