Breast Badge, 64x40 mm., gilt Bronze, with white-red enameled pointed arms with ball-finials flanked by golden fleurs de lys, blue enameled centre medallion, embossed with a trophy of arms, the reverse similar to the obverse, but the centre medallion bearing the Royal monogram “F.°7” on blue enamel, within white enameled outer circlet bearing the inscription “MENJIBAR 16 DE JULIO 1808”, on top, hinged laurel wreath with green enameled leaves and grooved suspension ring, with ribbon.
A very rare award created on April 18th, 1816 as a reward to the participants to the battle of Menjibar, who distinguished themselves for their conduct, the cross in gold was awarded to the officers, excellent condition. I RR!
