Grand Cross Set of the Order. Sash Badge, 67x53 mm., gilt Silver, as a green enameled, gold bordered five-armed, swallow-tailed cross flanked by bundles of polished beams, each charged with a 5-pointed star, blue enameled centre medallion bearing the green enameled depiction of the American continent and a gilt medallion embossed with the portrait of Del Valle, white enameled outer circlet bearing the inscription “ORDEN JOSE CECILIO DEL VALLE 1777 – 1977” in golden lettering, polished, slightly concave reverse, the top arm with a five-star above it, its reverse fitted with loop and round suspension ring, this, struck with French silver mark, with original, full-length sash ribbon with bow. Breast Star, 82 mm., gilt Silver, as the Order’s badge but larger and convex, polished reverse, fitted with vertical pin.
A very rare group of fine manufacture and beautiful enamelwork of this Order, instituted in 1977, awarded to heads of state only or, exceptionally, to most prominent foreign personalities for outstanding merits towards Honduras, excellent condition. I RR!
