Grand Collar of the Order. Collar, 84 cm., gilt Silver, composed of 7 circular links with the enameled symbol of the United Provinces of Central America, each bearing the inscription “PROVINCIAS UNIDAS DEL CENTRO AMERICA”, 8 larger round links with white enameled scroll on blue and green enameled background, bearing the golden inscription “AMERICA DE DIA CUANDO ESCRIBA AMERICA DE NOCHE CUANDO PIENSE” and a golden writing feather resting on it and an oval, front link with poly- chrome enameled coat of arms of Honduras on blue enameled background, all links, connected by double segments of gilt chainlets, to the front link is appended the badge of the order, 84x81 mm., as a green enameled, gold bordered five-armed, swallow-tailed cross flanked by bundles of polished beams, each charged with a 5-pointed star, blue enameled centre medallion bearing the green enameled depiction of the American continent and a gilt medallion embossed with the portrait of Del Valle, white enameled outer circlet bearing the inscription “ORDEN JOSE CECILIO DEL VALLE 1777 – 1977” in golden lettering.
