White enameled dial with Arab numerals and blued steel hands, cylinder mechanism, 45 x 38 mm., 36,64 g., in a luxurious, GOLD case, the back and front covers, finely chiseled and engraved and each face depicting monuments and flowery landscapes of the lakeshore at Ioannina and the mount Mitsikeli, now in the Greek Makedonia, executed in the finest enamel miniature, engraved suspension ring to which the gold key (also engraved and with enameled details) with steel insert is attached by means of a short chain of pleated gold wire.
A beautiful piece, from the hands of a skilled, Ottoman jeweler from the 2nd half of 19th century, probably a present to a prominent personality, excellent condition. I R!
