Order of the Sun and the Lion

An early Breast Star of the Order, 66 x 65 mm., six-pointed star in Silver with chiseled and pierced rays, flanked by golden blade-shaped beams, centre medallion in gold, finely enameled with the couching lion and the beaming, rising sun behind, smooth, concave reverse and vertical pin, this, struck with a French assay mark.
A beautifully made, very rare piece, dating back to the earliest years of the Order, excellent condition. I RR!
