Order of the Sun and the Lion

An early 1st Class Badge to be worn at the neck, 71 x 67 mm., chiseled Silver star, composed of five major rays flanked by shorter ones, centre medallion in gold with excellent enamel miniature of the Lion passant guardant, holding a scimitar, on sky-blue background with beaming, rising sun; around, triple, chiseled, round border, indicating the class, the upper ray with loop, linked to the ribbon ring, with diamond-cut chiseled details; with original, silk, neck ribbon.
An extremely rare badge dating from the foundation of the order, excellent condition. I RR!
