Collar of the Order, 114 cm., gilt Bronze, made of 20 links in the form of stylized baskets, green enameled badge, 116 x 67 mm., flanked by stylized grains with green and yellow enameled details, centre medallion with two offering hands and a heart below, with the motto “MANUM TUAM APERUIT IN OPE”, in the original, wooden case of issue with fitted, red velvet inner compartment and the toned-brass tag with maker’s mark of “El Oro”, Quezon City. Together, a copy of the official portrait of Imelda Marcos wearing the Collar.
An outstandingly rare collar, bestowed to heads of state only, originally instituted by Fernando Marcos in 1966 as a reward to deceased citizens, national or foreign, died while doing humanitarian services.
This collar, personally belonged to Lady Imelda Marcos, wife of the Philippines’ Dictator Ferdinando Marcos. I RR!
