1st Class Star of the Order of Russian manufacture. Breast Star, 90,0 mm., polished silver rays, sky blue enameled centre, set with a cabochon of jade, within pale-blue enameled ornament, surrounded by a long, archaic, Chinese calligraphic inscription, outer circlet with two facing, silver dragons, a coral on top and three stylized mountains below, the reverse with typical, old-type Russian screwback suspension.
An extremely rare star, especially for its manufacture, strictly adherent to the Chinese type, surely belonged to a high-ranking, Tsarist dignitary of the late 19th Century, excellent condition and fine patina. I RR!
