Grand Cross Set. Breast Badge, 92x53 mm., gilt Silver, with six green enameled, pointed arms with golden stylized branches from a white enameled base, golden cotton flowers with white enameled blossoms, red enameled centre medallion with applied, golden Iraqi Royal crown, hinged, Arabesque suspension, with reverse loop, with original sash. Breast Star, 100 mm., partially gilt Silver, with centre similar to the badge, the reverse fitted with vertical pin, in original green case of issue, by "Garrard - London", with gilt Silver crown on the lid and inner fitting missing. An extremely beautiful set, of best British quality!
An exceptionally rare group in the class awarded to Princes and foreign members of Royal houses (being the Collar class reserved to ruling Kings only); the order, instituted in 1932 by King Faisal I, ceased in 1958, mint condition. I RR!
