Grand Cross Set, 1st Class, instituted in 1765. Sash Badge, 60x66 mm, GOLD, enameled, hallmarked "56, Kokoshnik, eagle", maker’s mark "AK-Anton Keibel", original suspension loop, long original sash. Breast Star, 90 mm, Silver partially gilt, enameled, hallmarked “84, St. Petersburg”, maker’s mark “Keibel", central medallion gilt Silver, pin on reverse hallmarked "eagle, St. Petersburg", maker`s mark "Keibel", with long original sash, together with awarding document to Serge Alexandrovitch Toporkov (1881–1961), dated 6.12.1909.
Serge Alexandrovich Toporkov was an officer from the nobility of the Kuban region. He completed the Elisabethograd Cavalry Institute in 1903 with the rank of Cornette. He served in the Fifth Alexander Hussar Regiments, in this capacity, he received the order of Saint Stanislas in 1909. He subsequently served as colonel of the Imperial army during the First World War, then in the White Army.
A superb old group in perfect condition and of high historical interest!
