Knight’s badge of the Order of reduced size, 36x22 mm, in GOLD as a 6­pointed star of polished rays, flanked by white enameled fleur de lys; obverse centre medallion with the polychrome enameled image of the saint wearing royal robe on “frosted”, golden background; blue enameled outer circlet bearing the motto “FIDEI ET MERITO” in golden lettering; upper, royal crown, fitted with grooved suspension ring; reverse centre medallion in gold with embossed inscription “FERD.IV
/ INST.ANNO / 1800.” On fi nely “frosted” ground; blue enameled border.
