Grand Officer’s Breast Star (to be worn on its own), 81 mm., Silver, of roughly square form of polished rays and red enameled inner sections, the centre as a cross of golden, polished rays, round centre medallion with the allegoric image of a man holding an enameled waving flag at the Argentinian colours, on top, the motto “AL MERITO”, the reverse, fitted with vertical pin. A very rare badge of this order instituted by Juan Peron in 1946, discontinued in 1955, of beautiful design and manufacture, excellent condition. Argentina I RR!
