Sash Badge, 75 mm, GOLD as a white enameled cross of Maltese type with ball finials, flanked by Royal crowns, red enameled obverse centre medallion, bearing an ornate monogram “EA” in Gold, blue enameled outer circlet with the Order’s motto “SUSCIPERE ET FINIRE” in gold lettering, red enameled centre medallion with the golden monogram of King George V, within blue enameled outer circlet bearing the date “DEN . XV . DECEMBER . MDCCCLXV”, ribbed upper loop and round suspension ring, with original sash ribbon. Breast Star, 90 mm, in Silver with chiseled and pierced rays of “Austrian” type, centre medallion as the badge’s obverse one but larger, polished reverse with vertical pin and the maker’s escutcheon of Carl Büsch Hannover, a beautiful, extremely rare set of this attractive order, dating back to 1870 ca., excellent condition.
