Breast Badge, 79x59 mm in chiseled and pierced silver with GOLD centre medallion enriched by the Sultan`s Tughra, with red enameled details and applied scrolls with inscriptions, golden, crossed scimitars with blades passing through the medallion, red enameled, gold Crescent and Star suspension in gold and part of the original sash with bow, the reverse with the escutcheon of the Imperial mint and the "sahh" ("accurate")
quality control mark, Breast Star, 100x98 mm in chiseled and pierced silver with gold centre medallion also with the Sultan`s Tughra, with red enameled details and applied scrolls with inscriptions, enriched by gold scimitars with chiseled mounts and bright-polished blades, the reverse with concave counter-medallion bearing the escutcheon of the Turkish Imperial Mint, broad pin (marked "SILBER") and two hooks.
A beautiful and very rare set from the early 20th Century, extremely fine condition. The mark struck on the star`s pin allows us to af rm that the set was sent to Germany during the First World War and there, stamped for control. I RR!
