Commander`s Breast Star with Swords 80 mm, chiseled and pierced arms with golden swords between them, centre medallion with white enameled "running horse" on a bright red enamel ground with green enameled "field" below, pale blue enameled outer circlet with motto "NEC ASPERA TERRENT" in separately applied, finely chiseled cold lettering, within a thick, green enameled laurel wreath with orange-red berries, the reverse with centre disc, bearing the engraved maker`s mark "Turners Jewellers to the Royal Family 58. & 59. New Bond Street LONDON." vertical, broad golden pin. An early, very rare and fine star, from ca. 1830 in extremely fine condition. I RR!
