Grand Cross Set of the order. Sash Badge, 84x48 mm in gilt Silver with white enameled cross (thin, hairlines) flanked by green enameled rays, superimposed by a four pointed star flanked by a white enameled St. Andrew cross, charged with a shield at the colours of Katanga, rectangular upper loop with hinged, green enameled, oval laurel wreath and round suspension ring, with original full-length sash. Breast Star made of chiseled silver and green enameled rays, 78 mm, superimposed by a centre, identical to the sash badge, concave reverse with "frosted" finish, broad, vertical pin and two side hooks, in the original, dark brown case of issue. A very rare group of the short-lived (July 1960 - January 1963) Republic of Katanga, extremely fine condition. I-/I RR!
