An early, embroidered Grand Cross Breast Star, 98 mm, the rays made of gilt sheet-silver and sequines, superimposed by the Order`s cross made of silver sequines bordered of gilt bullion embroidery, sea-blue cloth centre bearing the motto "VIRTUS NOBILITAT" made of gilt thread, within gilt outer circlet, plain reverse, with original paper backing.
A beautiful, very rare star, dating to the institution of the Order in 1815, excellent condition. I RR!
