Breast Star of the Order, 76 mm, chiseled and pierced silver rays, white enameled centre medallion with golden, green enameled Irish Trefoil resting on red enameled cross of St. Andrew type, gold bordered, pale blue enameled outer circlet, with the Order`s motto in chiseled, gold lettering, the reverse, counter-medallion, struck with Irish silver and "E.J" marks and the maker`s mark of West & Son, Dublin.An extremely rare star of the discontinued order of the Irish Crown, excellent condition and quality.Note: West & Son were historical Dublin jewellers, purveyors of orders to Queen Victoria, also makers of the official collar of Lord Mayor of Dublin. The firm, established in 1720, closed in 2010. I R!
