Sash Badge, 93x56 mm, in gilt Silver with blue enameled arms, blue enameled centre medallion with gilt Athena`s head, blue enameled reverse medallion within white border with gilt, greek inscription "GREEK REPUBLIC ", oak wreath suspension and original, full sash ribbon. Breast Star,92 mm, with silver rays (greenspan) and blue enameled gilt centre as the badge`s obverse, the reverse, with broad pin, this, struck with a French mark, in the original, blue case of issue, with maker`s mark of Arthus Bertrand, Paris. This Order, was instituted in 1975 to take place of the abolished Order of George I, it ranks after the Order of the Redeemer and is awarded for special merits and achievements towards the State. A class very rare to find, extremly fine condition. I RR!
