Commander’s Breast Star for Foreigners of the type introduced in 1828, 75x76,5 mm, convex, smooth rays of embossed sheet-silver, the centre with green enamel-miniature painted oak wreath on white ground, within a double circlet, the inner one, enclosing the centre medallion of chisel-matted silver, with highly-polished, applied order’s motto “DEM VERDIENSTE” in gold lettering, the reverse with reinforcements to the star’s tips, concave counter-medallion, struck with a “Zeitz” mark, vertical, double pin. An extremely rare, early star, almost excellent condition. I RR!
